Import substitution: foreign experience and conclusions for Russia

This article discusses a process of applying of the policy of import substitution, both in the historical aspect and in the modern world by various countries. A comparative analysis of the implementation of this policy was made, on the basis of which conclusions were drawn about the possible and limited possibilities of import substitution in Russia, taking into account its political, economic and social features of development.
