Dissent and authority

"Another way thinking" was widely spread in the USSR and it was more significant than the dissident movement. While dissidents composed а small group of people openly protested against existing regime, those who "thought different" belonged to a wide public and expressed critical opinions about particular traits of cultural and political life.
