The purpose of the work is to identify the individual psychological characteristics of the individual as a factor of self-regulation. Methods. The study involved the cadets of the military University in the number of 60 people who were asked to pass a questionnaire survey according to the following methodology techniques: the questionnaire “Style of self-regulation of behavior” (Morosanova V.I.), the method of diagnosis of the level of subjective control ( Rotter J.), the method of “Hierarchy of values” (Rezepkin G. V.), the diagnostic technique of reflection (Karpov A.V.), the questionnaire of volitional qualities of personality (Chumakov M. V.), the questionnaire of personality resilience (D. A. Leontiev). Statistical analysis was also carried out by means of multiple regression analysis, which allowed to estimate the degree of influence of two or more independent variables (predictors) on the dependent variable (criterion). Results. It is shown what factors influence the positive development of self-regulation. A general model is presented which reflects the factors that determine the parameters of self-regulation. The sphere for using the results. The data obtained by us can be used in working out the program for developing self-regulation in cadets of military universities, presupposing individualization of the learning process, taking into account both: specific features of military professional activities and individual psychological characteristics of cadets. The factors affecting the processes of self-regulation are also of great importance. Summary. It is concluded that self-regulation from a psychological point of view is a powerful regulatory mechanism of adequate and effective human behavior, especially in extreme conditions. And the cadet, as a future officer, ought to develop, in the process of training, exactly those factors of personality that positively affect the process of self-regulation.
