The authors studied the influence of genotype and components of nutrient medium on processes forming of callus, morphogenesis and regeneration in vitro in three Russian varieties of summer barley - Stimul, Vikont and Mamlyuk. The most effective regeneration in shoots was during the use of explants of Stimul variety and modified medium of Murashige-Skuga, having casein hydrolyzed (1 g/l), myoinositol (100 mg/l) and benzyladenine (3.0 mf/l), and also 50-times over (in comparison with standard) amount of Cu2+ ions.
