Inflation as a threat to Russia’s economic security in the new realities

The purpose of the study is to assess the inflationary processes in the economy of modern Russia as a growing threat to the country’s economic security. The scientific novelty consists in a comprehensive analysis of the causes of modern inflation and recommendations of measures to eliminate it. The analysis of inflation indicators in Russia for 2021-2024 will make it possible to assess the dynamics of economic development, identify trends and predict possible changes in the market. The enormous growth of the money supply, increased production costs for labor due to a shortage of labor, high inflation expectations and underestimated consumer demand collectively play a significant role in increasing inflation in Russia at the present stage. The study suggests a number of restrictive monetary and fiscal policy measures to counteract inflation. Such an analysis will help both businesses and the government to take appropriate measures to control price increases and make informed decisions to ensure sustainable economic growth and stability.
