AGRIS information system and AGROVOC thesaurus as examples of successful international cooperation in the field of agricultural knowledge dissemination

The experience of international cooperation in the fields of updating of the international agricultural information system AGRIS and the development of the multilingual AGROVOC thesaurus both as a means of indexing and as an special information resource is generalized. It is shown that the effort consolidation of specialists from different countries resulted in greatly facilitated access to useful and relevant scientific information on agriculture.
