Information society in modern Russia, social aspect

The article presents the analysis of the formation of the information society in Russia, based on the knowledge of the concept of determining the content of the information category. The concept of a “uniform information space” is introduced, its content is determined on the basis of a systematic approach as a system includes three elements: information resources, tools and means of their formation and use, internal and external communications. The historical process is considered two stages: the accumulation of information resources in printed and electronic forms and the transition to the use of digital technologies for the production, storage and use of information products and services. The paper analyzes the practice of implementing state programs and projects of digital transformation of the formation of information support for the functions of the state in the social sphere. The results of the organization of the provision of public services to the population of the country.
