Information society: issues of cognitive management

One of the theories revealing the main trends in the development of modern society is a theory of information society. Comparative legal analysis of scientific works of representatives of this theory allows us to formulate a conclusion about the need for a more thorough and scrupulous study of the legacy, first of all, of American scientists who develop the foundations of a postindustrial society. At the same time, Russia's “blind” adherence to Western doctrines of forming an information society is fraught with negative consequences. All this bespeaks of a need to analyze not only positive, but also negative consequences of the information society formation in the Western European countries that are at the stage of postindustrial development.
