Information tools in forest genetic resources: from international experience to national solutions (review)

The article provides an overview of contemporary international tools and approaches to managing forest genetic resources. Key international initiatives and instruments aimed at collecting, storing, and analyzing data on forest genetic diversity are examined, as well as assessing threats to various tree species. The possibilities for adapting and applying these tools within the Russian context are discussed, taking into account Russia’s unique natural conditions and vast forested territories. Based on the analysis conducted, recommendations are formulated for creating national tools that take into account international experience and are adapted to Russian specifics.
