Information technologies in the mechanism of crimes related to illegal drug trafficking

The integration of information technologies into all spheres of human life has not bypassed the criminal one. The current state of crime indicates the use of information technology in the commission of a wide variety of crimes, including those related to drug trafficking. Undoubtedly, such a transformation becomes a decisive factor in changing the content of the crime mechanism, the key element of which is the method of crime. The article considers the method of illicit drug trafficking with its traditional division into full-structural and non-full-structural ones, taking into account the influence of the fact of using information technology at the stage of committing a crime. Its modern content is considered from the standpoint of a new private theory of the method of computer crimes, which has a commonality of a number of elements. Knowledge of the method of illicit trafficking in narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, committed using information technology and its patterns in the structure of the crime mechanism, will increase the effectiveness of the investigation.
