Informatisation is changing the lifestyles of population

The article considers the trends and main directions of the impact of information and communication technologies (ICT) on the lifestyles of the Russian population. It shows that in recent years there has been a transition from the mainly technical and industrial application of modern information technologies to their use in the everyday life of people. The radical changes in the use of information, brought by the processes of informatisation, could not but influenced the social behaviour of people. The changes of lifestyles under the impact of ICT are as follows: redistribution of the labour activities of the Russians; new forms of their consumption, cultural and leisure-time behaviour; changing their time budget and their relation to time in general; involvement into interaction with different forms of the virtual reality.
