Awareness of Arkhangelsk region’s population about specifics of medical insurance as a cultural constituent of family’s social safety

In nowadays society the question of consolidation and support of family is the most effective investment of moral, cultural and social effort of society. Family creates the chance for each of its member to interact in the society of risk, but family funds, supported and accumulated from inside, create conditions for access to new social resources and play an exclusive role in supporting and well-being of its members, especially for young generations. The quality of life of population from Northern regions is influenced by a variety of factors, including the state and efficiency of medical insurance system. Because of this, the issues of development of medical insurance, the growing awareness of people in Arkhangelsk region about specifics of medical insurance, as a cultural constituent of social family security system, are gaining relevance and are asking for scientific research. The relevance of scientific analysis in the development of medical insurance system both on federal and regional scale of social policy is demonstrated in this article, the content of this system is taken in account (required medical insurance, voluntary medical insurance, paid medical services). According to the results of sociological survey on population of Arkhangelsk region, the analysis of awareness of the population of the region about specifics of medical insurance as a cultural constituent of social family safety depending on gender and age is presented, comparing characteristics between 2008 and 2016. The authors reach the conclusion that in given social security of family and of its members the main role is played by awareness of families about the resources and the means of policy of the state. The received data could be the basis for regional program, focused on the development and modernization of nowadays system of medical insurance.
