Enculturation: issues of the concept’s scope and content definition

The article analyzes some approaches to the delimitation of the concepts “enculturation” and “socialization”, the specifics of using the concepts of this semantic field in the works of Russian-speaking researchers. The author suggests an original definition of enculturation and acculturation, and describes the features of evaluation of the relevant processes. The article also notes the high importance of studying of mechanisms and challenges of adults’ enculturation under the conditions of the modern culture.
