The level of development of any economic system is largely determined by its willingness and ability to use innovations. Innovative products, technologies, methods of production organization allow achieving a high level of economic efficiency of the enterprise, increasing its competitiveness, expanding its presence in the commodity market. For agricultural enterprises, innovations are the most significant, which is determined, on the one hand, by the value of their products for ensuring the country’s food security, on the other - by the insufficiently high level of development of the industry. The labor productivity achieved in agricultural enterprises is significantly lower than in other spheres of economic activity. According to this indicator, domestic agriculture also lags behind the leading world powers. The reasons for the low pace of development of the industry are systemic in nature, accumulated over a long period. Agricultural enterprises are not fully provided with highly qualified specialists with the necessary competencies to search, substantiate and introduce innovative projects into production, including those related to the use of information and communication technologies. Financing of innovations remains a problem. Agricultural enterprises as a rule have difficulties with allocating the necessary amount of free monetary resources for active innovative development. It is impossible to solve the problems of the industry without state support. A significant share of imported equipment and technologies used in agricultural enterprises is a high risk for agricultural business. At the same time, the achievements of Russian researchers in the field of agricultural technologies can also be used with a high degree of economic efficiency. It is necessary to make them more accessible to agricultural enterprises, to form a platform that would unite researchers, specialists in the field of personnel training and managers of agricultural enterprises.
