Innovations in the agro-industrial complex of the Kyrgyz Republic

The article considers the problems and issues related to the introduction and functioning of innovations in the main spheres of agro-industrial complex of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as their role in the further economic development of the country. It is noted that the introduction of innovations in the agro-industrial complex is accompanied by numerous difficulties that need to be solved at the state and regional levels. For this purpose in Kyrgyzstan it is necessary to develop and implement complex programmes and activities aimed at the introduction of modern agricultural technologies and high-performance agricultural equipment. Successful implementation of these programmes will make it possible to create a modern technological and competitive agro-industrial complex, increase the level of food security of the country and provide the population with necessary food products. The text outlines the essence and content of the concepts of «innovation», «innovation process», «innovation development» and other related terms. The aspects of innovative development of the agrarian sector of the Kyrgyz Republic are highlighted, and the model of the national innovation system is proposed. The authors of the article conclude that the adaptation of innovations to the unique features of Kyrgyzstan is a necessary condition for increasing the productivity and competitiveness of the agricultural sector. The article focuses on the importance of state and regional support in the development and implementation of innovations, which contributes to food security, sustainable development of rural areas and economic growth of agriculture.
