It is established that the Netherlands is a world leader in the introduction of innovative technologies in agriculture and animal husbandry. It is noted that the innovative agricultural industry of the Netherlands is aimed at ensuring food security in the country and in the world due to the steadily growing world population. The article notes that only science, working in close contact with business and the market, can cope with the serious challenges facing agriculture. The leading role of Wageningen University as a world leader in research related to agriculture and playing a key role in the training of highly qualified personnel for agriculture of the country and the world is considered.
