The innovation ecosystem as the basis for economic development

The innovation ecosystem today, in conditions of high turbulence of the global economy, can act as an effective set of tools aimed at creating conditions to increase the competitiveness of organizations. At the moment, the process of formation of ecosystem theory is intensifying and it is very relevant to identify the essence of the category “innovative ecosystem” and the evolution of theoretical views on it. The article focuses on the improvement of the well-known model of the “triple helix” with the inclusion of an additional component in the form of science, while updating the spaces of knowledge, consent, innovation and research that are included in the orbit of the functioning of all components of the triple helix.
