Innovative development of the Russian Federation

In all areas of activity, innovation capacity plays an important role for a country's economic development. Russia is also striving to create a steadily developing innovation environment. While having a high potential, the level of innovation activity is not high enough. The author in this paper presents an analysis of general data for Russia, which characterizes the level of innovation development. The problems that make it difficult to improve the quality of innovation activity are pointed out.
