Innovative approaches to the culture of the urban environment landscape formation

The article notes the degradation of cultural landscapes in the cities of Russia in the last century and the change of landscape design at the moment. The author names some innovative approaches to creating landscapes that enrich the quality of the urban environment: layout of landscape systems consisting of large natural elements (ravines, valleys, small rivers); reconstruction of areas contaminated with man-made waste; solution of plants deficiency problem with the rational organization of urban space (planting of greenery in roofs and facades of buildings, creating of eco-parking).
