Innovative method of obtaining dry extract of seeds of Silybum marianum (L.) growing in Turkmenistan and their quality indicators

The article defines the peculiarities of therapeutic properties and pharmacological quality indicators of Milk thistle. Milk thistle (Silybum marianum (L.) Gaertn.) - is a medicinal plant belonging to the genus of the family Asteraceae Dumort. There are 2 species of this plant in the world and 1 species in Turkmenistan. The purpose of the research work was to determine the qualitative indicators of milk thistle seeds by pharmacognostic studies and an innovative method of obtaining dry extract of milk thistle seeds growing in Turkmenistan. For the study, thistle seeds were brought from Sumbar gorge of Makhtumkuli etrap of Balkan province.
