Innovative potential of agricultural enterprises in Russia

The accelerated development of the agro-industrial complex of Russia is an important national economic task aimed at solving fundamental problems: providing Russians with high-quality affordable food, and processing industry enterprises with raw materials that allow them to fully load their production capacities. The production potential of the agro-industrial complex allows us to solve this problem only if innovations are actively involved in the activities of agricultural enterprises. Monitoring the readiness of enterprise managers shows that most of them are focused on already proven technologies that allow them to get a return in a short period. Truly innovative solutions associated with increased risk, requiring high financial investments and appropriate training of personnel, are used on a limited scale in the agricultural business. The main motive for the growth of innovative activity of agricultural enterprises is to reduce production costs and reduce risks, and much less often - the creation of new products. The research made it possible to identify priority areas of investment in innovation and identify barriers to the growth of the innovative potential of agricultural enterprises. As a result, the key directions for the formation of a favorable business environment that allows accelerating the innovative development of the domestic agro-industrial complex were identified.
