Nowadays, one of the factors of development and ensuring the competitiveness of the region is the formation and effective use of regional innovation potential. The article presents an analysis of key indicators characterizing the innovative activity of the region; scientific, industrial, economic, legal, organizational and managerial factors and conditions that contribute to the innovative activity of the region are considered; conclusions are drawn and appropriate recommendations are given.
