The study also expanded the terminological system of evolutionary and institutional research highlighted the categories of institutional genes and institutional hybrids. The study revealed the institutional genes of the previous redistributive economic system and the basic institutional genes of the market economic system. Institutional hybrids are largely the result of economic, institutional genes inherited from the previous economic system which in terms of the theory of institutional matrices, it is customary to investigate within the framework of the historical development of the economic systems of modern states. The identification and typologization of the so-called institutional hybrids can largely explain the significant institutional differences in the formation of various modern economies. The economic system of Russia has passed a significant path of historical development, where its own institutional hybrids have developed under the influence of social and political factors. As part of the transition from a command and administrative system to a market economy, our country has gone through a significant path of institutional change which forms a wide space of institutional research for modern economists. The identification of institutional hybrids that have a significant impact on the functioning of the Russian economic system in modern conditions seems to be an urgent area of research in institutional economics at the present time.
