The article considers institutional approach to the analysis of territorial commodity markets and services. It determines characteristics of the following concepts: «social institute», «economic institute», «legal institution». It substantiates the institutional structure of ensuring the interterritorial communications promoting development of economy and the social sphere of regions, and municipalities of various level. And it determines the main services, the directions and forms of field service realized in system of interterritorial communications.
