The author considers the institutional changes that take place in the modern society in socialization of orphan children and children without parents guardianship. These changes also happen in the development of the institution of replacing family. In the work the author has used the results of sociological research «The relation of the population of Republic of Buryatia to the problem of social orphanage», carried out in 2011.
