The instruments for analyzing and evaluating economic efficiency of labor protection measures for a high technical enterprise

The issue of the organization of the labor protection management system in a high technological enterprise in engineering industry was studied. JSC «Central design Bureau ‘Geofizika’ was taken as an example; it provides a brief description of the implementation of labor protection measures by specialized division (Department of labor protection) of the organization. The main tools for ensuring working conditions, i.e. a set of procedures aimed at implementing measures to prevent accidents at work and prevent occupational diseases were described in the study. The functions of the Department include the organization of training and verification of knowledge of safety requirements by all employees, planning of activities and monitoring of occupational safety, provision of individual protection for workers who need to use them, preventive maintenance, sanitary maintenance, security, production processes, security of execution of works by contractors, ensuring the safety of buildings, structures and premises (visualization of hazards). The analysis of internal environment of the enterprise showed the presence of temporary, economic, and social factors affecting the effectiveness of labor protection measures in JSC “CCB ‘Geofizika’”. The rating of labor protection measures (by rank), compiled on the basis of the expert method, illustrated the effectiveness of the complex of procedures performed in the labor protection management system from the perspective of careful production. It was established that the costs of special assessment of working conditions, measures to organize the purchase and supply of personal protective equipment, protective creams, special clothing, training and testing of labor protection knowledge had been the most effective in order to further minimize costs in the presence of possible cases of injuries.
