Integrative transformations in the institutional framework of the banking system

The article shows various forms of institutional transformations of the Russian banking system. A special emphasis is placed on integrative processes - merging and takeovers of banks. The author demonstrates the existing trends of evolution for the institutional framework of the banking system and the consequences of reduction of the number of banks in the banking system.
