Strategies of Russia and China in Eurasia: possibility of linking

The article analyzes the directions of the Russian integration strategy in the Eurasian space, the causesand consequences of not always positive experience in the Russian integration policy. A qualitativelynew level of economic integration - the Eurasian Economic Union - is considered. The article analyzesthe new format of Eurasian interaction proposed by China - the Silk Road Economic Belt initiative,which has no historical counterparts in terms of geopolitical, economic, humanitarian and other spheresand does not imply the creation of a rigid institutional structure.
