Integrated assessment of efficiency of potential utilization of regional economies

The article deals with the essence, structural elements, measurement and utilization of the development potential of regional economies. On the materials of the regions of the North Caucasus Federal District, the peculiarities, trends and patterns of socio-economic condition and development are studied, key potential factors are studied, methodological approaches are developed and implemented to assess the levels of development potential of the studied subjects of the Federation, the efficiency of their functioning and the dominants of further development. The group of regions of the North Caucasus Federal District on the potential of development has been carried out, the share of subjective factor in the formation of gross regional product has been determined. A fundamental factor in regional socio-economic development is the effective use of the potential of the region, which requires more research and development to assess the potential of regional development. Effective utilization of development potential, achievement of economic growth in the regions, ensuring more complete satisfaction of material and spiritual needs of the population is possible only with effective specialization and integrated development of socio-economic systems of the regions...
