Integrative method for determining the importance of consumer of the electric supply

In the Russian Federation, the problem of depreciation of the power grid infrastructure is acute. Carrying out repairs of electric power equipment requires significant investments. This makes it impossible to conduct them simultaneously. As a result, the number of accidents and failures in the power supply system is increasing. To improve the reliability of power supply, the program of repair measures should be developed taking into account the importance of consumers. The assessment of the importance score of consumers must be carried out in accordance with the possible consequences that may result from power outages. Moreover, the consequences should be understood not only as economic risks, but also as social and environmental risks, which can be considered in accordance with the concept of sustainable development. However, the exact calculation of the consequences of a power failure is a non-trivial task due to the complexity and lack of necessary data. At the same time, the necessary end result is the ranking of repair activities according to the order in which they are carried out. The author has developed and approved a method for calculating the importance of consumers. This method can be used in the implementation of measures to improve the reliability of power supply in power grid companies in order to obtain the maximum positive effect. The developed methodology can be adapted to the needs of a particular power grid company.
