An Integrated Water Quality Management Model for a Pulp and Paper Mill: Digitalization of Reporting and Predictive Analytics

This article proposes a quality management model for a pulp and paper mill’s wastewater disposal system. This model is based on an integrated approach to monitoring process parameters, managing wastewater treatment and reuse processes, and creating a unifi ed information base for monitoring and reporting. The developed model implements the principles of the process approach and the Deming cycle, providing the conditions for continuous improvement of wastewater disposal processes. The scientifi c novelty of this study lies in the development of a comprehensive quality management system for a pulp and paper mill’s Wastewater disposal system, based on the integration of modern digital technologies and automated control systems. The proposed integrated wastewater treatment quality management system with automated reporting enables real-time data collection and analysis, as well as the preparation of reporting documentation. This ensures the timely prevention of accidents and the accurate preparation of reporting documentation and its submission to regulatory authorities, thereby minimizing the risk of fi nes being imposed on the enterprise. The practical results obtained confi rm the effectiveness of implementing automated systems for collecting, storing, and processing information based on current regulatory requirements and standards.
