Integrated approach to teaching professionally-focused foreign languages

The article is devoted to one of the ways of optimization of teaching foreign languages to non-linguistic students according to the changes in the purposes of education in new social and economic conditions. The author provides her own interpretation of an integrated approach to teaching a professionally-focused foreign language. The results of the teaching experiment prove that an integrated approach creates the opportunities for students to start learning a foreign language as a means of personal and professional development due to developing their skills to manage educational activity and critical way of thinking.
