The article continues the methodological development of the concept of «intellectual intuition» proposed by the author in a number of previous publications. New arguments are presented in favor of the use of the term. Thus, the author introduces new nuances in the treasury of the methodological and theoretical baggage of historical science. This article is based on memories of the author on her student time, as well as on her joint work with Professor L. Kertman at the Department of Modern and Contemporary History, which he was a head of. The author's attention is directed to those episodes of academic communication with Kertman, which revealed his intuition and insight. Comparing his statements and observations with modern ideas, the author tries to reconstruct the thinking of the Professor and define his place in the scientific area of present time. The article attempts to analyze a hypothetical situation - a possible Professor Kertman's assessment of one of the books published in 2011. The theme of this article could not be unnoticed by him because of his historiographical and methodological interests. The author takes into account the fact that reviews as a genre of book occupied a special place in L. Kertman's scientific work. Thus, this paper successfully combines the author's own research, development of methodological problems of historical science and memories recollected by the author because of the jubilee - the 95th anniversary of the birth of L. Kertman. These materials have allowed the author to expand the scope of the concept of «intellectual intuition».
