The well-known methods for platinum accompanying metals dissolution are discussed. To increase the degree of their transformation from reluctant refining intermediates into soluble forms in one process cycle is an actual problem, as it reduces the unfinished production proportion and the metals amounts owed. In order to intensify processes the mechanical activation application has been proposed and proved. The effect of preliminary mechanical activation on the physical and chemical properties of pure platinum accompanying metal powders and of reluctant intermediates of refining is explored.
