The article is devoted to revealing the role of representers of the semantic category of intensity in the linguistic concept of «love». On the basis of the material of V. P. Astafiev's two works - a long story «Star Shower» and a novel «Condemned and Killed» the field of intensive units participating in explication of prototypical and individual features of the concept is determined.
