The article is concerned with organization of the teachers’ councils in a college as a form of the mass methodological work with a wide range of opportunities for increasing of the teachers’ professional level. The special attention is paid to the interactive forms of the faculty meetengs, which stimulate rearrangement of the teaching behaviour in compliance with the competence-based approach. The subject under consideration is relevant for methodology of the secondary vocational education on the stage of implementation of the Federal state educational standards for the secondary vocational education.
