The article deals with Internet memes as a visual practice of modern media. The analysis of the Internet memes of the Litres Knigi community in the VKontakte social network is presented. The types of memes and their functions are indicated. The structure of community memes and the connection of verbal and iconic elements in the creolized texts of memes are revealed. The communicative messages of the visual images of the Litres Knigi community, the stereotypes they broadcast, and the possibility of forming a loyal audience with the help of images are studied.
