In this article a special historical era view of H.J.C. Grimmelshausen, reflected in his novel “Simplicissimus”, where he creates not the realistic portrait of the time, but its emotional part and impression, is examined. The author uses typical for the XVII century baroque methods and sometimes even anticipates some movements of the XX century.
