Intonational peculiarities of final syntagmas in the territorial variants of the English language

This article is devoted to the results of the detailed experimental phonetic research. The intonational peculiarities of final syntagmas in the two variants of the English language (Received Pronunciation and South English) are investigated. The experiment carried out on such prosodic components of intonation as pitch, tempo, and loudness demonstrates common and various characteristics of RP and SE.
