Investment climate and modern Russian investment

The article describes the main factors shaping the investment climate in Russia and the dynamics of FDI in 2010–2011. Growing role of developing countries as recipients of FDI and investors is underlined. Peculiarities of the Russian export of capital, which are determined by the leading non-financial TNCs oil and gas and metallurgical industries are described. FDI inflows into Russia were twice as low than outflows. Among the most attractive regions, along with the traditional, Kaluga region, which is the basis for success in the implementation of the cluster strategy, is distinguished.
