Ionospheric effects of solar eclipses on 29 march 2006 and 19 march 2007

In this study, the data from the Tomsk ionospheric station of vertical sounding are used to examine the influence of the solar eclipses of 29 March 2006 and 19 March 2007 on the ionospheric plasma. It is shown that during the maximum phase of the eclipses the electron density in the maxima of the ionospheric E, Fl, F2 layers abruptly decreases. The density decrease is ~ 40 ÷ 60 % under undisturbed conditions.
