Iranian migration to Canada

The article discusses the issue of emigration in Iran. Iran is a country of origin, transit and destination for migrants due to its geopolitics, demography and economic opportunities. It also remains one of the largest refugee receiving countries in the world. The large Iranian diaspora is scattered in the region and beyond in Western Europe, North America and Australia. Traditionally, emigration to Iran has been insignificant. But in recent years the number of emigrants has been increasing for various reasons, which are considered in the article. The author notes that the number of emigrants from Iran to Canada seeking asylum has nearly tripled in recent years.
