Irkutsk scientific school of paleoethnology in 1920-1930

This article devoted to studying history of Siberian scientific school of paleoethnology. Also here considered appearance and development of paleoethnology as a science in Russia. The focal point of the article is scientific research of professors and students of department of the Primitive societies in Irkutsk State University in 1920-1930. The main results of the Irkutsk school's research were elaborating typology of mortuary constructions and grave goods; defining chronology of various archaeological sites in Baikal region.
