Irish liberation movement in British public opinion in 1876-1889

This article is devoted to the analysis of public opinion in Great Britain about their attitude to Ireland during the years of the struggle for home rule. It was revealed that British public opinion was variegated. Unfortunately, British society was dominated by negative sentiments towards the Irish. Anti-Irish sentiments and a stable stereotype of the Irish made it difficult to implement a number of measures that could satisfy the requirements of the Irish.
