Irony as a factor of stylistic unity of Cervantes' short novels

The article deals with the study of stylistic peculiarity of Cervantes'' Exemplary novels. The author emphasizes the linguistic aspect of stylistic unity of twelve short novels and studies the role of author''s irony in the creation of this unity. The analysis of the titles of each novel as well as the title of the book in the context of their content allows to see the system ambivalence of expressed meanings that create an author''s irony of the text. This stylistic device in Cervantes'' novels is also formed in the text imagery.
