Irony: revision of values in times of culture crisis

The possibilities of the complex application of semiotic and axiological approaches in the study of the irony phenomenon are considered in the article. The semiotic mechanism of irony functioning is disclosed. The proposition on the relationship between crises in culture and actualization of ironic manifestations in it as a form of critical reflection overvalues is substantiated.
