Original nature of the Russian national character, the circumstances of his distortions

This article attempts to examine the origin of the Russian national character, its basic peculiarities, the circumstances of its ambivalence of its distortion. The author explores the nature of the concept, the theoretical foundations of its formation, the positions of various scientists and thinkers on this issue. The paper considers both positive and negative aspects of the national character, as well as the factors that contributed to the formation of its negative image.
