The results of examination and using in breeding program of soft winter wheat varieties of national breeding of the collection samples VIR and Cimmyt are presented. Genetic sources of winter hardiness are marked among the national breeding varieties: Zhemchuzhina of Povolzhya and Bezenchukskaya 380. The varieties Severodonetskaya jubileinaya, Zimnitsa, Morozko, Junona, Marathon, Rostovchanka 7, Spartak and Basis are of great importance for breeding for drought resistance of different location. These varieties exceeded the yield standard under abiotic stress conditions by 0.6-1.55 t / ha. The varieties Zimnitsa, Severodonetskaya jubileinaya and Basis are potentially productive for breeding with the maximum yield implementation in the Middle Volga 7.78-7.95 t\ha. The Romanian samples Cimmyt have great potential as parent material of breeding for productivity and brown rust resistance: F06659 G 10-1, F06659 G 6-1, F06580 G 2-1. These samples exceeded the standard under drought conditions by 1.4-1.84 t / ha. The samples from the USA, Cimmyt, demonstrated immunity to brown rust in conditions of epiphytoty in the field conditions: Byrd, CO07W245, OKO0724, W 95-091/AKRON, BCO 1007-7. The varieties Spartak, Isuminka, samples Siouxland 89, Byrd, CO07W245 and BCO 1007-7 have great combining ability of feature “productivity” and “brown rust resistance”.
