Artificial intelligence and the political process: future challenges

The article attempts to analyze the potential impact of artificial intelligence on the political process, to reveal the problems of synthesis of digital technologies, modern achievements in the field of artificial intelligence on political institutions and processes. The article reveals the ambivalence of understanding artificial intelligence, presents the main directions of managing artificial intelligence in the context of the political process, summarizes the functions of managing the risks of introducing artificial intelligence into the political process. The article states the inevitability of the influence of artificial intelligence technologies being developed at an accelerated pace on society, the process of political participation, and civil society institutions. Using foreign experience as an example, the author identifies the risks of implementing artificial intelligence in socio-political processes, determines possible directions for the development of AI to include the public sphere and the political process, and the impact of AI on the process of democratization of society.
