This article considers the effectiveness of the use of falsified materials in information confrontation, which lead to the formation of appropriate public opinion, creating a sustainable negative position in the interests of a particular subject of information confrontation. Particular attention is paid to the analysis of a number of high-profile infoprovods that had significant consequences in public sentiment, as well as to the development of technologies for creating fake materials.
